Marsham ARS

Welcome to the website of the Marsham Amateur Radio Society, based in the village of Fairlight, just outside Hastings in East Sussex, England. We are able to book the Clubhouse, Wood Field, Commanders Walk, Fairlight (Google map at the bottom of this page), for operating or any other amateur radio related activity that we wish. The club is affiliated to the Radio Society of Great Britain (RSGB) which gives us the benefit of insurance for club activities. This site is currently under construction. Please direct any questions to our Secretary by email:- sec.m0vft@gmail.com

Our aims are to help anyone wanting to get started in the hobby of amateur radio, a licence is needed if you wish to transmit, but not essential if you just wish to help the club. We also welcome existing licensed amateur radio operators to participate in club activities.

We wish to provide the opportunity of taking part in contests as a club, such as the RSGB affiliated clubs contests and also special event stations, where the club operates at a specific location, using a specific callsign allocated just for that event.

Club meetings are held for a specific activity/contest, rather than regular scheduled dates. These will be added to the calendar page as soon as they are decided. Annual subscription is only £5.00 plus £2.00 when you attend a meeting to cover the use of the Clubhouse, which goes to Activate Youth Club, who own the building. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided FOC. Guests welcome.

Interested in getting a licence? Please visit the training page for more details.
